BER Assessments & Certification for all domestic buildings
An Assessment will be carried out by one of our S.E.I. (Sustainable Energy Ireland) registered assessors. In the case of an existing dwelling this will be carried out on site in accordance with procedures set out by Sustainable Energy Ireland. It involves measuring the various elements of the dwelling. The fabric of the dwelling aswell as the type of construction are all imputed to help generate the BER rating of the dwelling in question.

Depending on the size and complexity of the dwelling, this stage of the process should take between two and five hours.

In the case of a dwelling which is at construction or planning stage, the building energy rating is derived from the house plans and specifications.

In relation to all dwellings, the BER is calculated by the use of standard procedures as set out by Sustainable Energy Ireland (S.E.I.)

Certification

Once the assessment is complete and all the relevant measurements and specifications are processed, a BER Certificate will be issued.

This BER Certificate will enable you to determine how energy efficient your dwelling is. It does this by giving a rating for the dwelling on a scale between 'A1' (Most Efficient) and 'G' (Least Efficient)
